A cyclic decamethylcyclopentasiloxane, it is a colorless, transparent, odorless and non-irritating liquid that feels fresh and conditioning, leaving skin and hair soft and silky and making products easy to spread. Highly compatible with many cosmetic ingredients, it leaves essentially no residue after evaporation, lowers surface tension and helps disperse solid pigments, so it is widely used in personal care.
