Product Overview: GP200 is a self-thickening nonionic emulsifying wax with an HLB of about 8.0 and a unique microcrystalline structure, making it an ideal emulsifier for cosmetics and hair products. It offers excellent stability in both lotions and rich creams, tolerates acids and alkalis, and emulsifies both polar and non-polar oils. The resulting creams are fine, glossy and easy to spread, with instant release and a pleasant application feel that helps actives absorb. It can be used alone or as a co-emulsifier over a pH range of 3-13 for all kinds of acidic or alkaline cosmetic ointments. Nonionic, it can be blended with anionic or cationic emulsifiers for electrolyte-tolerant systems and is safe with virtually no irritation.
Applications:
• Skin creams and lotions, hair care products
• As a single emulsifier in massage creams, intensive treatments and conditioners at about 2% or more; can be blended with co-emulsifiers such as A165 or with anionic surfactants to emulsify up to 45 parts of oil
