Product Overview: Top-smooth GE-26 is a powerful humectant and thickener with about four times the moisturizing effect of glycerin. Added to shampoos it increases shine, and in cosmetics and cleansers it serves as a humectant and lubricant without greasiness, leaving a smooth, comfortable after-feel. Water-soluble and miscible with alcohols, it is compatible with anionic, nonionic and cationic surfactants and stable over a wide pH range. Used in shaving creams and lotions, and also as a pigment dispersion medium and as a foam booster in detergents and soaps.
