Product Overview: Top-active SA-T5 combines encapsulated salicylic acid with glycolipids. Salicylic acid is antibacterial, anti-dandruff and oil-controlling at a very attractive cost, but excess use can irritate sensitive skin. Encapsulation in acacia gum releases the salicylic acid gradually through friction during use, greatly reducing irritation. Glycolipids, biosurfactants from fermentation, work with the salicylic acid to stabilize its action while further lowering irritation for both the active and the whole formula.
